I have always wanted to become aware of what it really meant to be a missionary. How can I go into the field, and plant seeds? Jesus instructions were very clear to me. Luke chapter 1:1-12: Jesus chose 72 other followers and sent them out 2 by 2 to every town and village where he was about to go. A large crop is in the fields, but there are only a few workers. Ask the Lord in charge of the harvest to send out workers to bring it in. I read and I prayed. Go into the fields and take nothing with you. If they turn you away, shake the dust off your feet. See the next person, if they welcome you, go in and pray. God gave me my very first mission trip on March 17, 2017, to Mombasa, Kenya. What a humble experience. To become like the people, to walk with them, and become Christ-Like. After all, I was created in his image. This was one of my most humbling experiences of my life. Along with 10 other missionaries from my church, we ran a week-long Medical Missions clinic in a remote town called Mariakani. Just like Jesus, he healed the sick, and he ministered to people from all walks of life, different backgrounds, poor, rich and many more. He taught with love, gracefulness, and his faith in the one who sent him, his Father, my Abba. My second trip was June 24, 2017, to Watamu Kenya, and there my evangelism took me to a church called Jericho Baptist Church, in the village of Jericho. There I had my own translator. Each day, we walked in the village of Jericho, and this was my first time that I taught about the Creation to Christ. I met with 30 unbroken unreached peopled groups, and out of this speaking the gospel, 16 people came to Christ. That brings glory to God, (Mungo) in Swahili. What a mighty God we search. Some of the precious people had never heard of God, they had heard of Jesus somewhat. I dedicated a baby there, prayed, and had a blessed time that remains me of just how precious Jesus life meant to me. To receive salvation, to have the promise of eternity, and this is how the people of this village felt as well. We rejoiced, in the holy name of Jesus. Now, my third trip to Kenya will be on April 24, 2018, to Malindi. You trust Jesus, and He will never lead you astray. Bwana Asifiwe!
